I like a lot of different kinds of music.  Punk, Hardcore, Alternative, New Wave, Industrial, Goth, Hip Hop, Bass, Old Skool Rap, Techno, Classic Rock, New Rock, Freestyle, Christian, Reggae and on and on...

Before digital music, I had just about every CD I have ever bought.  I never lose them or trade them in.  Twenty plus years worth.  I used to go to the used CD stores sometimes several times a week.  This got to be quite a collection.  Then on-line music stores, high-speed Internet and MP3's changed everything.  I could purchase and download MP3's anytime, day or night.  Somewhere along the way I ended up with more MP3's then I care to admit...

Several years back I found a Gemini "DJ package" (mixer and two CD players) on Ebay.  I bought it as a Christmas present for myself, not for DJ jobs but just for fun.  Throw in some hand-me-down amplifiers, a hand-me-down speaker cabinet, a speaker cabinet I made myself, four new 10" woofers and some tweeters, two used cabinets with 15" woofers and tweeters that just needed a little TLC, a fog machine, a strobe light, a black light, a gobo light, a moon-flower light, two borrowed lights and a borrowed light stand, add a laptop with Traktor DJ Studio 2 and a 1TB HD, and I was in business.  I have just recently added two more amps, two active 15" two way speakers and one passive 18" subwoofer.

My first ever job was my friends Avi and Carolina's wedding (thanks guys!).  I then did a new years party, several Halloween parties, a few block parties, and my son Ben's "Guitar Hero / Buckethead birthday party.  (all for free of course).

 I then was fortunate enough to be able to do a real paying job at a middle school dance (two years in a row, thank you!).  Eight hours later I did a birthday party for a 13 year old, and one hour after that I did another birthday party for another 13 year old (thanks again guys!).
